Can't get 'nuff of this bloggin' stuff

I like this blog stuff so much that I created another one....check it out...

http://mccahanstalking.blogspot.com/

As the president of the Patrick McCahan Clan, I am always looking for ways to communicate quickly and easily with more than 400 cousins and kin who may or may not own/use a computer. Oh yeah, we still publish a paper newsletter....(sigh)..In addition, I receive e-mails from folks who are researching their family history and want to know "how we are related."

Hopefully the McCahan's Talking blog will allow for information exchange and discussion.

Theory of font size

I've looked at all the great blogs....so colorful and each a reflection of the creator. I have this new theory that blog creators under 40 use a smaller font size that those of us over 40. What do you think?

First Day of School

Do you remember your first day of school? Today was my niece Kelsey's first day of kindergarten and she called to tell me "IT WAS THE BEST DAY OF HER LIFE!" (I put this in all caps because she yelled it into the phone...she was so excited) I asked her what she learned today and she said, "Not much, but tomorrow I'm going to learn to read." Her joy is almost a tangible thing so now perhaps I'll feel better about this whole 2.0 opportunity.

Playing Poppit

I did it! I popped all the balloons in a game of Poppit! And, I did it without using the weight or the pin! Life is good!

For those of you who may not know about this game, go to http://www.pogo.com/ Poppit is the best stress reliever....like popping bubble wrap only better....

My family....
Can you tell we are related?
My mother, brother, sister-in-law, nephew and nieces.

Feeling old, scared, and out of touch!

I always thought I welcomed challenges and have a little technology knowledge but right now I DON'T WANT TO DO THIS! It just doesn't feel right to try to learn something new without others sitting around me where I can see their faces and know we are all in the same boat, or at least in the same body of water. Or maybe, it's the technology and learning connection that scares me. Right now, my goal is to take one breath after another and hope for the best....or start drinking (not on the job...I'm at home)

All I keep thinking is an old saying I heard once.....

When you are up to your tush in alligators it's difficult to remember your initial objective was to drain the swamp!
